A volunteer role at Bethany Community Church for teachable upper middle school, high school, and college students who desire to learn more about using media in a God-centered way—including areas such as video editing, audio editing, graphic design, writing, editing and website work.
1. Available to members and regular attenders of BCC
2. Competency levels required: Avid computer user who can easily navigate MS Office and/or Google Drive. Applicant also will need to be a self-learner on software applications and take the initiative on projects.
3. Initial meeting with a pastor to talk through the apprenticeship and to confirm it is a good fit
4. Commitment to reading book/articles for development on how to use media redemptively. At times, written feedback will be requested.
5. 1-2 hours for volunteer experience/development
6. 3-6 hours a week for it to be considered an apprenticeship
7. Apprenticeships are a semester at a time (fall, summer, spring)
8. Best done on location during office hours but we can try to fit your schedule
9. Working closely with ministry staff who implement these ministry tasks
